Welcome to Start Soaring Private Tutoring! I provide individualized tutoring services to students in grades Pre-K - 5, basing lesson and activity design on research, theory, and student assessment data.

ABOUT

Madeline Burns, M.Ed. & Tutor

I have a B.A. from The Ohio State University and a Master of Education from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education with a certification in grades K-5. During this program, I designed and implemented innovative, research-based curriculum. Following my M.Ed. program I began my teaching career in 4th and then 2nd grade at two different independent schools. Currently I work in EdTech supporting school district leaders in their curriculum strategy and implementation. I am passionate about helping young students become confident learners, so they can continue to soar.
